FRIENDS ONLY

I have decided to make my journal Friends Only, with the exception of fanfic posts. I don't like the idea of not knowing who's reading my journal. This was never intended to be a public blog, just a place where I could talk to my friends (and now the cyber friends I've acquired over the years).

If you'd like to be LJ friends, feel free to add me--no need to comment here. I'll friend anyone who's not an obvious spambot.

Thank you!
Jack/Liz
I'm not posting this to the comms tonight, because I figure not many people are around. But here's an "advance screening" for my friends list. J

Characters: Jack/Liz. Brief mention of Liz/Conan.
Word Count: 2365
Rating: R for sexual content
Spoilers: Through early season three
Disclaimer: Not mine! Fun, not profit.

Summary/Notes: "Sometimes Liz tries to rank herself and Jack on the Divorced Couples Scale."

I tried to decide under what circumstances I could actually make myself break Jack and Liz up and keep them apart. I decided that, paradoxically, the more amiable their split was, the easier it would be for me to resist the urge to get them back together.

Chatacters: Oscar/Andy
Spoilers: Through "Business Trip"
Rating: PG
Word Count: 488
Disclaimer: Not mine! Fun, not profit.

30 Rock Fic: Some Fantastic (Jack/Liz, PG-13)

  • Jun. 22nd, 2009 at 11:28 PM
Finding Excuses
Characters: Jack/Liz, Dr. Spaceman, Cooter
Word Count: 2371
Spoilers: Through Season 3
Rating: PG-13 for language
Disclaimer: Not mine! Fun, not profit.

Summary/Notes: The Barenaked Ladies song "Some Fantastic" has always reminded me of Jack and Liz. If my creativity were in a different area, I might have made a fanvid. Instead, I wrote a series of vignettes using lyrics from the song as prompts.

Some Fantastic )
Horseville
Characters: Liz/Conan, Jenna
Rating: PG-13 for innuendo
Word Count: 847
Spoilers: Minor ones through season three, major through "Tracy Does Conan"
Disclaimer: Not mine! Fun, not profit. Title comes from Bruce Springsteen, "Human Touch." The character of Conan is the fictionalized version who appears on 30 Rock; I don't claim to know anything about the actual person.

Summary: Liz watches Conan on The Tonight Show. Angst-ish.

Forty minutes ago, I thought, "Well, I'm clearly not gonna write any fic tonight." Then this happened. Also: I mention Andy Richter here, and you're probably saying, "But he played Liz's brother!" Verily I say onto you: Carrie Fisher did a guest spot, yet the show still mentions Star Wars. So whatevs.

You And Me, We Were The Pretenders )
P&R, Leslie/Ann

Word Count: 646
Spoilers: Major through "The Ones," minor for "Mamma Mia"

I've written other preseries stories, which can be found by clicking the "30 Rock preseries" tag, but it's not necessary to read those first. This took months to write--with a prolonged break partway through--and I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm happiest for actually finishing.

A Stay of Execution )

Mysteries and Scandals )
Sam June
Time for another [info]house_mst, the Mystery Science Theater-inspired game where you find bad House fanfiction, then have the characters make snarky comments about it. This is a short one, but I'm out of practice.

Characters are not mine! Fun, not profit.
